Accessing Messages on MacBook Air

For the first time ever, Messages on my MacBook Air is requiring me to sign in with ID and password. Is this legitimate or is someone phishing?

I changed my Apple ID password 3 times and I even change my email password too. I also check my Apple ID device list to find where I'm signed in and it didn't show any suspicious devices. Can someone help me? Also, questions to support : Why do I keep getting these emails? Is the noreply@email.apple.com legit? Why does Apple send it to my everyday gmail rather than to my iCloud mail? I even turn on the two factor authentication but why is this keep happening?

continual sign in to iMessage iMessage keeps asking for a sign-in with Apple ID and password every time I start up my MacBook Pro. This is recent in the last week. Never a problem before.

Apple ID Login Warning Email with ID that is not my Apple ID I have received two emails now that someone has used my "Apple ID" on a MacBook to log in to iMessage. No one I know has a MacBook so it has to be something sus. However, the "Apple ID" in the email is NOT my Apple ID. It's another login ID that has nothing to do with Apple. I've changed my password for my Apple account as suggested but it doesn't seem to have done anything. Any ideas?
