Wifi icon vanishes after 1 second IPHONE 13 IOS 17.1.2

Internet still works when turnind data connection off however it does not display the wifi icon at the top right.

FIXED - Removed old VPN profile and my wifi logo appeared again. 😎😎

When I connect to this network, the WiFi icon pops up for a split second at the top of my screen, and then it disappears.
