Recently,my Macbook switched off due to a power cut. When the power was restored, the computer will no longer switch on. The power lead is integral and the fuse inside the plug is OK. Have tried all the various suggestions of how to start up but no matter what I try, it will not switch on. Does anyone have any ideas …..
Are you asking about a MacBook or an iMac desktop? The MacBook does not come in a 27" model.
The two systems have different power arrangements, MacBooks have battery operation capability; 27" models do not. The distinction is important.

Sorry for the confusion….looking on the web, it looks like it is an apple imac 27 “ desktop version. There is nothing on the outside of it to tell me…..
