Logitech C270 web camera not working after macOS Sonoma

Like other Macbook users, my USB webcam, a Logitech C270, isn't working after I installed the Sonoma update 14.1.1 (and 14.1.2).

I went to this support article: If you can't use your camera or video output device after updating to macOS Sonoma 14.1 - Apple Support

After I rebooted and typed in the Terminal command given in the article, I got this message: Volume on disk3s5 failed to mount This is an encrypted and locked APFS volume; use "diskutil apfs unlockVolume" system-override: failed to mount Volume (disk3s5)

Does anyone know how to fix my webcam when this Terminal message appears? (The video works, the sound doesn't)

Based on the error above, you'll want to run the following command:

diskutil apfs unlockVolume disk3s5

It will prompt you for your password. Once entered, it will 'unlock' the disk/volume, and then you can run the command in that article again.

I did this successfully (it did the system override as desired), however it didn't help for my situation. My Logitech webcam video feed still shows as a black square.
