MacBook Pro authorization for Apple TV

I keep getting a message on my MacBook Pro that it needs to be authorized to play content from Apple TV or Apple Music. But I have authorized it multiple times, and made sure it shows up in the window on iCloud as authorized.

Is there anything I am missing? Is there a glitch in this that I am unaware of?

Running OS 13.6.2 (22G320) and Apple TV 1.3.6.14, Music 1.3.6.14.

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Authorization for computers works for the TV app and Music app simultaneously, so authorizing through either app should be enough. Authorization ‘locks’ the computer to an Apple ID for Apple DRM’ed downloads (as downloaded through that computer) — it is not about streaming from Apple’s servers directly. Authorization is for a specific Apple ID account and device. Users are not supposed to get Apple media files through other devices or accounts, and transfer these between devices. It is not related to iCloud.
