Sorry, I thought I was being clear... Perhaps not...
No... I am -as Apple advised me to, -as the old way doesn't work, meticulously 'sharing' the voice memos to the Icloud Drive on my Windows laptop before deleting them from the phone!
This has been successful... that is... up until today!
So today -when it asks as it often does, 'An older item named '*' already exists in this location. Do you want to replace it with the new one you're copying?', I have always clicked on 'Keep both'
This time I mistakenly pressed 'Replace'. (My clumsy fingers/mind! but.. it is also not good!:) It is at times like this, when we ask why the **** has it not got a 'are you sure you want to delete this file?' -like everything else does!
And this can happen, if we had a young baby, or a dog, could very easily have disrupted clicking on the right one!
Hundreds/thousands of people at least would have had this happen to them!
I think you are right. From talking with Apple, I am not sure I am able to get it back at all!
But this is insane, no? When we cannot undo a fatal error like that-with today's technology!
Anyone knowing anything to the contrary, please let me know!
Cheers!
Julian
