After seeing sberman's response, understand that my method is for sharing all contacts at once, whereas you did not indicate if you wanted all or just selective copy.

It would depend on how your husband is managing his contacts on his device. If using iCloud, are the two of you using Family Sharing? If using another email account, do you share that account? Otherwise, there are apps out there that allow you to backup his contacts as a .csv file and then he can email them to a mail account you have on your device. Then open that attachment on your phone and it will copy the contacts over. I use an app called MBackup to backup my contacts. It defaults to creating an attachment that can be emailed to anyone. The app is free, but there is a paid version if you have a number of contacts that exceed the free version. I'm sorry it has been a while since I got it so I don't remember the number of contacts you can manage for free. I have no interest in this app, so I do not receive any royalty for recommending.

For each contact, on your husband’s iPhone:

• Open the contact
• Choose “Share Contact”
• Choose “Select All Fields”
• Choose “AirDrop”
• Find your iPhone in the AirDrop list and choose it
