The Document “untitled 12” could not be autosaved. A file with the name “untitled 12” already exists.

I have a MacBook Pro, 2018, Ventura 13.6.1. When I cut and paste a Text document and go to File to save it, I some times get the message “untitled 12” could not be autosaved. A file with the name “untitled 12” already exists". I need to find out how to clear this message when it happens. It doesn't clear on its own. It will happen with different number's besides "12".

You can just rename the document to something else.
