Poor resolution when exporting edited photos

I've successfully edited a photo in Apple Photos using the "bandaid" function to remove acne on a family member's face. I've been trying to Export the edited photo using various settings, but the photo continues to be exported at either 1) too low a resolution to use for a Shutterfly Christmas card, OR 2) without the edits. Shutterfly suggests exporting an unedited pic and editing the photo on their website. Unfortunately, Shutterfly doesn't offer the right Editing capabilities, and I'd like to use the Apple editing function instead. Can anyone help?

I was having 2 problems. First, the photo was being exported with low resolution (89KB) which was too low to use with the Shutterfly website. Second, it was being exported without the edits. Thx for your question about the dimensions. I played around with a few things in Apple Photos...changed back to "Original" under the Cropping edit (I had originally edited it to a 5x7-forgot to say that) and also changed the export size to Custom...with max width of 1024 px, and it worked! Once I made these changes, the photo was exported with a higher resolution (889KB) and with the edits. Thanks for your help and comments. This discussion board is great!
