hi guys im trying to connect my macbook pro m3 with imac 2017 27 inch with thunderbolt cable but I'm unable to go to display target mode some please help me out here

This is not possible. Target display mode is not compatible with an 2017 iMac. It is discontinued after the 2014 series of iMac.
