Contacts app syncing with O365 contacts

Last year Microsoft Basic Authentication depreciated but couple of weeks ago the native Contacts app on my corporate iphone automatically created an iPhone list (iPad list on iPad) containing my contacts. What changed in the 17 iOS update that is allowing the sync between the Contacts app and my O365 contacts?

Why are fields missing in my iPhone app for my contacts? I have information stored in my contacts / address book on my macbook pro that is important to me and I can't find any way to add missing fields to my iPhone app so that the information is always available to me. Why is this the case? Doe Apple arbitrarily determine what information we can share across own personal devices? MacBook Air problem is small potatoes but it is a canary in the coal mine issue.

MyFord Touch doesn't download contacts since iOS 13 update Ever since the update to iOS 13, MyFord Touch isn't downloading my phone contacts from my iPhone 8. It only downloads the numbers I've marked as favorites. So when a text comes in, where the popup window on SYNC used to show the name of the person sending the text, it now just shows the phone number. Ford is no longer supporting MyFord Touch, and my SYNC is up to date. I've tried deleting the phonebook and re-downloading it, but it still just downloads the numbers from my favorites list.
