Why do I have to tap the space bar twice to get a space between the first two words I type?

When I start to type on my Magic Keyboard I have to double tap on the space bar to get a space between the first two word, This wasn’t happening before

Windows, Windows 10

Have you enabled Full Keyboard Access? If so, try setting this to OFF:

Settings > Accessibility > Keyboards > Full Keyboard Access - set to OFF
