Safari. How do I keep the safari icon on my toolbar?

If you've run Safari recently, and the icon is temporarily in the Dock, you can also do a right-click on the Dock icon, then select Options > Keep In Dock.

Open up a Finder window onto the Applications folder.

Click on the Safari icon and drag it into the left side of the Dock, to the place where you want it. Then let go of the mouse button.
