MYLIO vs Photos

I am trying to test Mylio. I would like to know when you install Mylio on my MAC Mini and it “imports” my Apple photos into Mylio. Is Mylio making a duplicate of my Apple photos so it is doubling my space? Ie my Apple photos are 100 photos, then Mylio imports and I have 100 photos (same ones) in Mylio also thereby using twice the space?

i have reached out to Mylio but IMO their support especially for a potential customer is subpar and not as helpful as Apple where you can speak and share.

i also know you can “link” Mylio but when I go to Finder to point to a Folder Apple will not allow me to do this.

can you help?

It certainly does when importing from Apple's legacy applications, iPhoto and Photos. I'm not sure about Photos, though. But a little trial and error will tell you a lot.

If you are testing the app can I suggest you import and explore with s batch of photos - maybe 500 or so, and see if it does what you want it to do. Mylio is a very good app in a lot of ways and well worth considering.
