Watch keep saying that I need iOS update?

An Apple Watch running watchOS 10 is in need of iOS 17 on the paired iPhone. If the iPhone is still running iOS 6 when the watch is already updated to watchOS 10 this is not going to work, you will need to update your iPhone first

IF you have an iPhone that is not compatible with iOS 17, you're out of luck and you cannot use this watch on your iPhone I am afraid

iOS 17.1.2 is a critical security update. Because of a high risk of vulnerability for all users not updated, Apple is taking a more proactive approach to getting ppl to update their devices.

If your watch is paired to your phone or iPad and you’re not running 17.1.2, this is probably the reason for that alert. You should update your phone and/or iPad.

Edit: That said, and now that your screenshot has uploaded (spectrum internet ***), I think @WheelieNick may be right. hopefully one of these two potential explanations resolves your issue. 🤞🏻

Is your iPhone updated to the last iOS version? Check if you have version 17.1.2 installed.
