Microphone not working with new sonoma update

Previously, I had no issues using the microphone for dictation before initial update to sonoma. Even after the most recent update to 14.1.2 the microphone will still not work on web pages, apps like powerpoint and google sheets, and iMessage. Any way to fix this? The input is set to my mac microphone.
