Sharing audio option missing on my ipad

On all my devices when I want to share audio there is a button to share. My IPad does not have the option to share I have a choice between either headphones - they are the latest AirPod max.

My wife’s IPad works but it’s a little newer. I am running 16.7.2 with no option to update.

Is my IPad Pro just too old now? ML2K2X/A

Audio share won’t work. I have skullcandy dime xt 2 and AirPod 2nd generation and they won’t share audio. But I think it works when I use two different sets of AirPods. If you can reply that would mean a lot to me. Have a nice day thank you bye.
