Why is my camera roll/all my photos showing up on my son's iPhone?

We have family setup sharing an icloud subscription and each family member has their own Apple ID. Yet, all my photos are showing up on my son's iPhone, in addition to his own. Note: he is a child so I set up his account.

Where are you seeing the the photos on your son's iPhone?

Are they in the Shared Family album?

Or did you enable the Shared iCloud Photos Library? If you have set up the Shared iCloud Photos Library on your own iPhone, you may want to remove the photos you do not want to be visible on the devices of other family members from the Shared Library back to your personal library. And disable the sharing of photos right from the camera, or each and every photo you take will automatically appear on all devices of the family members.

Thanks for your reply. I’m the seeing the pictures directly in his camera roll on his device. We do not have a shared albums and Share iCloud Photos Library is not enabled. The only we share is the iCloud storage plan but he has his own, seperate Apple ID. My concern isn’t so much about personal photos (nothing to hide). I wonder if with both of us using storage, all those files are being stored twice?
