trying to update my macbook pro - I guess I don't have the right password - I have entered my Apple password and then computer password - neither worked
I just updated my apple password - that did not help

Sound’s like you are trying to enter your Apple ID password, (the account for Music, TV, iCloud, and other similar services)when you should be entering your MacBook’s User password. Do you know your computer’s login password, the same one you use to unlock your computer when you open it, or after it restarts? That is the password you should input when you go to update.
