Converting Keynote 4 to Keynote 13 on new MacBook Pro - IOS 10.11.6 to IOS 14.1.2

converted keynote 4.0.4 to keynote 13 - imported files by converting them to powerpoint and loading them into keynote 13 - now video files won't play unless I click on the slide twice - any solutions?

MacBook Pro 13″, OS X 10.11

No Mac runs iOS, only macOS.

Did the conversion from Keynote v4.0.4 to Powerpoint allow you to play the videos in a current Microsoft Powerpoint, or LibreOffice Impress? If it did, then the issue would be what Keynote v13.2 is doing with that Powerpoint translation into the Apple .key format. Apple does not guarantee that a translation from a Microsoft document will be accurate or complete and it might have popped a warning dialog about what it excluded too.

You may need to fetch the videos from that Keynote v4.0.4 document and insert them directly into Keynote v13.2.
