How to make an emergency call in Assistive Access?

It appears that the elderly user will only be able to "Make Calls to Selected Contacts" unless the "Show Dialer Keypad" is enabled

If I want to disallow them from dialing ANY number by not showing the dialer keypad, can I make "911" a Contact? I would add a picture in the Contact to indicate it's an emergency call

Will Assistive Access accept that as a valid phone number?

iPhone 14, iOS 17

Hi faengelm,

Re: How to make an emergency call in Assistive Access?

To make an emergency call

You can make an emergency call while Assistive Access is active, even if iPhone is locked.

Important: Cellular service must be available to make emergency calls.

Certain important aspects of contacting emergency services on iPhone are different in Assistive Access.

See Understand certain differences in Assistive Access.

  1. Triple-click the side button (on an iPhone with Face ID) or the Home button (on other iPhone models), then tap Emergency.
  2. Dial the emergency number (for example, 911 in the U.S.), then tap .

All the best :-)
