Lightning cables

I have an iPhone 13 and purchased an Apple iPad Air 5th generation today. The cable I use to charge my phone isn’t compatible with the iPad and vice versa. Is there a way to make them compatible, or do I have to get used to using two different cables all the time. Thanks.

*Need the adapter to make the Lightning cord work for the iPad. Or a Lightning to USB-C adapter for USB-C cord to work with the phone.

The iPad has USB-C and you would need an USB-C to Lightning adapter.
