sure if you mute the audio and if the material / app you are attempting to airplay does not active block airplay it's is the free choice of app developers to do so

Thanks for the response! Probably I did not define the scenario properly. I am taking audio output from iPhone through wired cable (going to Mixer) and on the other hand, I want to project only video on the projector (going through AV receiver). So, muting the audio will mute the audio to Mixer and will not work for me.
