“Airpod detected near me” — I don’t own an airpod. Am I being tracked?

For 2 days in a row I have received a notification saying an airpod was detected near me. I don’t own one. I looked through my stuff and didn’t find any. I can’t play sound or disable its location. Am I being tracked?
