Recovery mode without macbook display

Please help, I have a 2018 macbook pro with a broken screen (black display, sometime will show the frozen image of screen in use), but I was using it just fine by connecting to an external screen and have it mirror the main display.

The problem starts after I try to reboot using internet recovery, the external screen went blank, even tho sometimes the main display will show the spining globe of recovery mode, so I know the comand went through.

Is it because external monitor wont display recovery mode? How do I fix this? Is there a way to cancel the recovery and just went back using it with external screen?

I google exit recovery mode but there is no restart option shown on the frozen images of the main display. The touchbar doent show anything either so I cant try to cmd+f1 mirror display... I'm panicking, please what should I do.
