Macbook pro stuck on reboot loop with no entry sign after boot from time machine

I have a 2012 mac mini with catalina time machine back up that I want to boot to a second hand 2019 macbook pro with sonoma

Started the restore from time machine (2012 mac mini/ Catalina) on the Macbook pro and left it over night and when I woke up it was stuck on restart loop mode with the 🚫 sign

Turned macbook on /off and still doing same thing

sidenote: Macbook Pro was sent to me wiped clean with sonoma and with password to log in and working fine

Hi,

Original macOS of MacBook Pro 2019 is Big Sur, you can't run Catalina on 2019 MacBook Pro.

You'd better reinstall macOS from the scratch with Recovery mode.
