Logic Pro Loops and Sounds Installed But Greyed Out

Hello community. I have several Macs with Logic Pro 10.7.4 installed (see attached image). However some of these computers have some the sounds greyed out such as (but not limited to) the beats in the loops library.

I located the greyed out sound files on the computer in their proper directory yet still greyed out.
I also noticed that if I choose "Software Instruments" when starting a new session, they all seem to be available. This is one workaround I've tried.
An admin user has logged in and instantly seen everything no matter what type of session they're starting at the prompt (software instrument, guitars, audio, etc). While a non-admin will have some of the installed sounds greyed out. This is odd being that they shouldn't be user-based.
I've performed a reinstall of the sound library and the issue persists.

Is there a way to point Logic to a Finder folder or folders and have it re-index sound content?

I wish I could move all of the sounds to a new drive and point Logic to the folders on that drive as the sound source rather than relocating the existing library (using the feature in the Logic Pro menu) which may yield the same results. In other words, keep the library in it's place, but have Logic Pro look to an alternative directory for it's sound library (similar to choosing a sound library for iTunes holding option on startup).

Any thoughts on this folks?

You can move the audio files to an external drive, but you need to do it within Logic. See this

I did this once, but it actually moved all the files over to the new drive. They were no longer at the computer>library

From what I can tell, you can't have Apple loops and samples in more than one location. Or just move some of the audio that you rarely use to an external drive, like Legacy, iMovie, Final Cut sounds. It would be a nice feature if you could switch libraries at will like on iTunes/Music.

Now you can have Apple Samples and loops on the main drive and Native Instrument data on an external drive to help save some space.

Re: greyed out loops. Have you tried reindexing? See pic. It's all the way at the bottom of the Loop Packs Menu.
