Apple credit Balance

I am unable to apply gift card or apple credit balance on apple’s physical products. I keep getting an error message the “Your payment authorization failed. Please verify your information and try again, or try another payment method.”

Gift card error, Your payment authorization failed on card I am trying to use two gift cards I traded reward points for online. I also then pay the remaining balance with my credit card. It shows that my apple gift cards have balances but when I execute the order I get the following error on the first gift card: Your payment authorization failed on card •••9772. Please verify your information and try again, or try another payment method. I've tried apple pay, my credit card, etc and nothing works. The failed number on the card is the gift card, not my credit card. I see this as a recurring issue on support without a concrete solution. Most saying contacting support doesn't help and is a waste of time.
