Hey everyone. I have macbook air 2020. Everything was alright, but today when I press my spacebar on mac keyboard, it adds a bracket. Similarly, when I press down key, it does the same. So I ended up updating the OS, nothing changed and have tried everything. Infact after update when I shut down my mac, it shows a weird white screen before turning off.
Can you try starting in Safe Mode and let us know if the issue is still present? Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support
Try using an external keyboard. If the external keyboard works, then you have a hardware issue with the laptop's built-in keyboard which will need to be repaired. If the external also has a problem, then most likely it is some sort of configuration issue.
I did try safe mode. No success. Keyboard still isnt working properly
