Brewer IOS microscope

I purchased a Bresser USB microscope and following the install guide, sought out and downloaded the APP HiView Plus onto my IPad / the USB dongle on the microscope had to have an adapter to access the “lightening” port on the IPad. With all the pieces assembled and the app installed, the microscope lights up but the presentation on the iPad is only a spinning gear icon and no response to touching the system adjustment icons on the border. What is going on here ? / thx/request/
