Super slow migration to new mac

My migration to a new Mac via wifi has been going on for 34 hours. The internet speed is super slow right now, which I assume is from the download, but should I stop and transfer the data another way? The mac that I am moving data from is super old and has been getting increasingly slower over he last few weeks.

iMac, macOS 10.13

After this amount of time it's really a tough call, but yes starting over would require a tough job of clearing out what has been transferred, or erasing everything on the ew one & starting over.... & if it's due to a failing HDD on theold one, you might never get anymore data off of it.

I you do decide to start over be sure to run Disk Utility's Disk 1st Aid on at leat the old one.

One other possible way of transferring is ...

Transfer files between two Mac computers using target disk mode - Apple Support

Open Activity Monitor, in the Disk & Network tabs, does it show activity still?
