Stop autoplay in car

Is there anyway to stop my iPhone from autoplaying music/books/podcasts (whatever it dreams up that given day) everytime I start my truck?? It seems to randomly choose SOMETHING everytime I open the truck door. Podcast from 10years ago? Sure! Music you didn’t know you had? Sure! Audiobook you haven’t opened in month? Ok!

No rhyme or reason, not even picking up where I left off on anything I was actually listening to.

It’s single handedly the most annoying feature Apple has ever implemented and I cannot find any way to stop it.

Its connected to my truck via BT and wired USB for CarPlay. If I turn off BT then I loose my watch and all my BT calling features, nav, etc so that’s not a great option.

Am I missing something?

iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 17
