Weird clicking noise from iPhone 15

my iPhone 15 suddenly started making a scrappy clicking noise usually when im using the control center, but it also happens when randomly click other things on my screen. The sound is not coming from the main speaker but from the earpiece. It seems like a bug. What do i do?

A restart fixes the issue but it appears again after a while. When this happens it is accompanied by audio issues, whatever is playing sounds tinny and ineligible, like static. I’m running iOS 16.2. Is this a software or hardware issue?
