Is it okay to use your 18 watt power adaptor with your iPhone 12 Pro Max and your iPad 5th gen?
I just want the fastest charging power adaptor, that is acceptable.

Both can be safely charged with the 18 watt adapter. However, the 5th gen iPad does not support fast charging so you likely won’t see it charging any faster. See the discussion in the link provided from 2020.
