Your "second drive" is Bootcamp.

You (or someone else who set up your Mac) split your 120GB disk into 2 partitions. The 60.74 GB Macintosh HD is what you are running macOS on. The 59.71GB Bootcamp partition is for Windows - you cannot unlock Bootcamp and you cannot install macOS on it either.

It seems to me you have two choices:

  • Remove enough files from Macintosh HD in order to free up enough space to install Monterey. You will probably have to free up an additional 15GB-20GB or more.
  • Remove the Bootcamp partition entirely and then combine its space with your Macintosh HD partition.

Removing a Bootcamp partition is not for the faint of heart. Things can go wrong. (And you really need to back up all your data before doing it. I cannot emphasize backup enough.) If you decide you want to do this, let us know and someone will post the instructions.

OTOH, if it were me I would replace the entire drive with a 1TB SSD and install macOS from scratch. Your 120GB drive is just too small by today's standards.

But you didn't say what model MacBook Pro you have. Recent models cannot be upgraded.

Pls. tell us more about your system. Your profile indicates a MacBook Pro - that would not have 2 disks unless you have an external disk connected.

Exact model MBP

Capacity & free space on each of your disks

Which disk already has macOS installed

Model of external HDD/SSD if you are using one; and how connected to your MBP

It will also help if you do the following:

In Terminal, enter this command: diskutil list

Copy & post the results here.

At this point, my best recommendations are to do the following:

  1. Back up your data to an external disk drive.
  2. Find a local Apple Authorized Service provider and have them look at your MacBook Pro to do whatever work needs to be done. (For example, removing Bootcamp, reconfiguring your drive to its entire 120GB capacity, replacing the drive with a larger one, installing Monterey, etc.)

So what I figured out is that the BOOTCAMP disk was installed to run windows on my mac if i needed it

and my mac isn't a recent model it is MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015)

and also i have a small problem in finder i can only find BOOTCAMP disk Macintosh HD isn't there

and from what I remember i ejected a disk by accident and I don't know what disk did I eject

also I can't upgrade my storage cause if it is like a monthly plan I don't have my card online cause I hate paying with cards and I am so forgetful so it likely that I will forget to pay and lose my storage so upgrading my storage won't be possible so what should I do?
