Invalid Card error - Series 9 watch

I recent received the series 9 watch. When trying to add my credit card to it, I keep getting told "Invalid Card - Check the information on your card and try again".

However, if I remove it completely from the wallet on phone, I can add it to my watch. It will add to my watch without problem. But then I get the same error when trying to add it back to my phone.

I previously had the series 3 watch and did not have any problems like this.

After unpairing my Apple Watch, I had to remove all cards from the Wallet App in the WatchApp on the iPhone.

Then make sure that you can add and verify the cards on your iPhone Wallet app, I had to use my banking app to do that.

After the cards are back on your iPhone, open the WatchApp, go to Wallet& Apple Pay and add the cards again, they should already be there to select them. I had to use the "Verify" button again to open my banking app, verifying each of them.

After that they worked on my Apple Watch.
