Apple Watch Smart Alarm has been removed with IOS 10.1.1

I have recently updated my series 8 from its original IOS to 10.1.1. The smart sleep app that wakes me up within the 20 min window depending on sleep cycle has disappeared. One of the reasons I got the watch was because of this feature. Is it that I have to activate this app from somewhere else or has been removed completely? If removed, how can I get it back ie install the previous version of the IOS.

No, that was never a built-in feature of the Apple Watch.

There is, however, a app with a similar name:

I do not remember that ever being a feature of built in sleep tracking on an Apple Watch. I went back and reviewed the user guide for all the versions of watchOS that support it and saw nothing about it.

Track your sleep with Apple Watch - Apple Support

I know that is a feature of several third party apps. You may want to go back and look at your purchase history and see if perhaps you downloaded one. AutoSleep was one I used to use.
