No transactions outside the app? No API support? No more Apple Card for me, thanks!

The Wallett app, the card itself, and the rewards are decent. But having to always have my phone on me to do my banking, or no API support for things like Plaid, etc. means managing my transactions and keeping my balance managed is about four times more painful than literally any other credit card, especially when there are better rewards out there. As Apple doesn't have any intention of fixing these issues, they seem intentional "by design" I'm going to cancel it. Anyone else considering it: if you manage your finances in anything outside the Wallet app: be warned.

Like muguy, I manage my finances outside of Wallet and do just fine with my Apple Card. I download my statements in CSV every month and import them into my preferred management app. This fact about how the Apple Card works has been well publicized since the card was released.

That may work for some - but I think most people would expect one of the biggest tech companies in the world offering a card to not intentionally omit modern features most every other credit card provides. It's a step backwards for most. People should be aware, and I hope threads like this can help folks researching.

You don't see it on the website: "Only manage your current transactions in our app on your iPhone, and nowhere else!"
