Apple Mail Client - And Emplorer access

I know an employer can brick a device if you use the Exchange Outlook client. Can that also be done through the Apple Mail Client?

Yes, if you use the Apple Mail client to host the Exchange account. Connecting an Exchange account to your iPhone gives the administrator of the Exchange server rights to manage most of the security features of your phone; it also legally gives the administrator ownership of all data on the phone. That’s why many people carry separate personal and business phones.
