Can I set up assistive access on IOS 17 for a spouse with cognitive disability without a passcode?

I was able to get just about everything set up that he needed (Vision is very limited), but the lock screen is missing the DATE...Time is there. dont see anywhere to add the time. Can anyone help? Is iPhone 14 a Good choice for disabled person? I have a question regarding the use of iPhones for partially disabled persons. Are they able to provide good features for the disabled persons. It looks like you can turn off the iPhone's passcode if needed.
