Face ID has stopped working and when I try to reset it, I get the message. Face ID not available. This started a month ago and with the new update 17.1.2 It is not working at all anymore!!!
i’ve seen that other people have a similar problem. Very bad customer service that this has not been sorted by apple!

This Support article is specific to seeing a 'disabled' Face ID alert, and explains what to do when you see that notice or an issue with the TrueDepth camera. --> If an alert says Face ID has been disabled on your iPhone or iPad Pro - Apple Support

If you’ve run through the steps in the support article (below) already, I’d expect some part of the TrueDepth camera hardware has probably failed. Contact Apple Support.
