I simply added books to my apple books library but when i opened it up My Apple Books library was empty and i did not see them

So i got apple books for free on the app store but when i opened it i added books to the library and opened it and was empty though and i did add books to it but it said i did not but i did and when i open it it loads and then takes me to the books section reading now and then says it is not added and nothing happens. Help Me!

And i have restarted my device several times but it did not work and then tryed refreshing the app but that also did not work
