Upload of publication article to Books app fails – creation of pdf starts, but no pdf created

Hi

I have tested below scenario with Books app on my ipad, where I want to save a publication article to pdf.

This is possible via print with Printer Pro app by Readdle.

However this app has been discontinued and is no longer in app store.

Maybe adobe acrobat app will work, but this requires costly subscription. Hence not an option.

So I am trying to find some other way save publication article as pdf (like print to pdf app).

Scenario with Books app on ipad running latest IOS 16:

1. Open publication article in newspaper app (Weekendavisen) and upload to mail.
2. Open the mail and click the link to article.
3. This opens the article, then select upload to Books.
4. “Creating PDF file – preparing” message just shown for a few seconds and then disappears.
5. However no PDF file created in Books app.

Any suggestions?
