Dust under the camera lens

I noticed 2 specs od dust behind the camera lens. Will this affect photo quality?

Dell studio 435MT, Windows 7, Dell studio..The best machine ever

You must have excellent or superman vision or you are using a micrscope if you are able to see 2 dust specs. 😉

Does it affect photo quality as in can you see the dust specs with the photos you capture with the iPhone?

Just take the back off, and clean it. Just remove the 2 small screws at the bottom, and slide the back off.

Peter,

Just take it to a store and exchange it.

I have read another post somewhere and that person had a single dust particle under the back glass and said that the store replaced it with no questions asked.

PS - if you attempt to fix it yourself you can kiss your warranty goodbye.

You are advising the OP to do something that if it can be determined by Apple that it was done will void the warranty. Better to contact AppleCare or make an appointment at an Apple store.

I have a micro spec on mine but my photographs are perfectly fine, As long as it isn't a huge spec of dust it should be fine, I am a Wedding photographer and all cameras have some dust on them to a degree, if you can see it in your photos then go to apple get them to clean it, not replace, to replace a phone for the sake of dust is crazy

I have two specks of dust underneath my back cover too but it doesn't seem to affect photo quality. Removing the two screws at the bottom and sliding the rear cover off will NOT void the warranty, Apple will never know you have done it! I would rather do this and keep my otherwise (relatively) problem-free IP4 than risk an exchange and end up with far worse than a bit of dust.

I have 1 spec of dust behind my iPhone5 camera lense and it's white and you can see it but it does not! Effect the camera its self should i take it back??

I've had my iPhone 5 since October and the dust is just now starting to show up in my photos... very frustrating. I have cleaned the lens every way I know how. Think I'll head down to Apple Store tomorrow and see what they say. Will let you know...

BTW this picture is not zoomed or cropped. That's the whole image.

I took the phone to the Apple Store, showed them the photo above and they replaced the phone no questions asked.

same problem here bro.....i also see the dust in my iphone 5 white 32 GB but its only shows in sunlight or when u put a torch on the lance in you cant see it by eyes. m in India and phone is under warrenty i just bought it before 12 days only.....phone is preety perfect but annoying every time......what to do....? please advise

With a lens barely a mm across, dust on that lens will have an effect. duh.
