Can't print POSTER in Acrobat Reader on Mac Sonoma

Trying to print an 11x17 document as a tiled poster on 8.5x11 paper. The POSTER option is grayed. How do I do this?

I have a 11x17 PDF here displayed at 100% that was created in Canva. There are no restrictions on the PDF. From the Reader toolbar, I select the Printer icon and on the Reader print panel, none of the Page Sizing selections enable the Poster button.
My Samsung laser is a Letter, not Tabloid capable printer, and that may be a contributing reason why Poster is disabled in Reader. Although the print preview shows Document: 11.0 x 17.0 in, there is an 8.5 x 11 inches crop on that in a red box when actual size is selected, and Fit scales the 8.5 x 11 in output to 60% of the Tabloid size.
