Wrong folder sizes in finder

Hello, I was checking my disk usage with the finder, and the /Users/arnaud/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/webdeploy/production is reported as 65 GB big (sorry for the french, but I guess it's clear)

If I'm looking at the details, I get this (I did not open all the folders but you get the idea) : a bunch of 8 GB folders with apps. I thought they were just older versions that autodesk fusion 360 updater would not clean.

But if I'm entering any of those .app folder, I find nothing but a couple of tiny files instead of GBs as the size indicates.

I restarted the finder, deactivated and reactivated size calculation, no change.

A simple du confirmed this is very wrong and there is only one 7.7 GB folder in that list actually, all the rest being small :

So, what's happening ?? How can I fix this ?

Thanks

If it is an issue you can Rebuild the Spotlight index on your Mac

Well it seems obvious they are local from the path and I can confirm they are. I know what spotlight does in general but I'm unsure it maintains a database of folder sizes. Might be the case, but anyway rebuilding the index did not fix.

If this is isolated to your third party app I would search the developers website—

if in doubt search the developers website or contact their: Support/Help/FAQ/Known issues/compatibility/updates…

I just launched the rebuild, although I'm not sure folder sizes are a spotlight matter, I'll check later after the rebuild is complete

Spotlight is the content index on your Mac.

< /Users/arnaud/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/webdeploy/production >
