Finder search only showing a lot of data when "This Mac" location selected

Using Mac Mini M2 and Sonoma 14.1.2.

I searched using a single word 'Baked', 1st try I didn't use a capital, 2nd try, used a capital B.

If I search 'This Mac', heaps of results, including from my iCloud.

If I search the folder where I know the recipe I am looking for is located on my Mac, no results.

Attached image Baked1 shows nil result searching in folder

Attached image Baked2 shows the file when the Mac is searched, with the pathway shown at the bottom.

Attached image Baked3 shows the file in finder not in search mode.

This has happened to a lot of people - including me.

The solution that worked for me and others involves deleting a file that may have become corrupted and causes this folder search to fail.

Removing the .Spotlught-V100 directory worked for me:

sudo rm -r /System/Volumes/Data/.Spotlight-V100

EDIT: Just saw Barney's post with essentially the same solution. Somehow it was not visible for me before (or I missed it... <rant>why are not replies sorted by oldest to newest by default?</rant>)
