Looked iPhone 15 with a broken touchscreen

My iphone fell on the floor. Now the touchscreen and unfortunately also FaceID is broken. Everything below the white line (see the picture) doesn't work anymore. Stupid that my unlock code uses these digits. :-(

I really need to get my data! A backup cannot be made without unlocking, as my iphone has already been switched off once and therefore no longer wants to connect (to known) wifi. Unfortunately, I'm currently in Bolivia where there is no Appstore.

So my question: If i will let Apple repair my iphone screen - can they keep the data on it!?

Because as soon as the screen would work again - i would be able to unlock my iphone...

Specification:

iOS 17.0.3

iPhone 15 Pro Max

iPhone 15 Pro Max, iOS 17

Are you saying that you have no backups that were made prior to the time that the phone was damaged?

If this is what you are saying, Apple can repair the screen, but you should not expect the data on the phone to be preserved. Data will be lost as part of the reset and screen replacement process.

You can confirm this when you take the phone in for service.
