Going into Settings, then Notifications, then denying/removing websites that have asked for permission to send notifications does NOT work for the "Ask You” virus/PUP. Initially, it is removed but is back within minutes. I’ve removed the .plist safari file from the Library and that hasn’t helped. I’ve cleared ALL cookies and ALL browsing history and that hasn’t helped. Anybody got any ideas? And thanks.

3 screenshots: in the first (taken at 1:59) both Ask You and the NY Times have permission. (I gave permission ONLY to the NY Times and have removed Ask You over and over and over again). In the 2nd screenshot (taken at 2:01) you can see I’ve removed them both. But by 2:13, Ask You is back. Happens every time. It’s not a tragedy, I guess—I’m using Duck Duck Go now—but I hate that this thing is inhabiting my laptop.

As I originally wrote, I have already dealt with notifications thru safari settings. It works for a few minutes and then the Ask You notification is back.
