Eliminating Duplicate Songs/Albums in ITunes

I find it difficult to believe or understand why Apple would not have a "simple" method to clean the files of duplicate songs or albums. I have now processed a physical one by one deletion twice in my ITunes file and find this to be at best redundant and at worst an exercise in futility. C'mon guys, get your act together!! Is there another simplified system available?
